Brandon Zackey has performed on tenors for many world class marching organizations. These include Yamato, Esperanza, Glassmen, RCC Fall Marching Band, Pulse Percussion, RCC Winter Drum line, and The Blue Devils. He has been contracted multiple times to perform as a percussionist at Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. Brandon has also performed on episodes of The Office, American Idol, and Big Love.
Upon aging out of the drum line activity, Brandon began teaching high school and professional ensembles, including the San Diego State University Winter Drum Line in 2012. He currently teaches Chaparral High School and Great Oak High School, while maintaining a studio of private students.
Recently he served as a clinician for System Blue, and has frequently performed locally in the Southern California area. Brandon can currently be seen playing drum set for his bands called Chemical Warfare and Sicarius.
Brandon was a grand finalist in the 27th Annual Guitar Center Drum Off.
Brian Crist is a San Diego native, and has worked with various scholastic & independent programs throughout San Diego, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Los Angeles area. Some of which include: Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Orange County Independent, Arizona Academy, and Gold.
Brian began his musical endeavors at the age of 4 studying violin - continuing on with strings throughout his livelihood, he began percussion & horn studies at the age of 13. Playing with the San Diego Young Artists Symphony Orchestra for numerous years under the direction of Louis Campiglia he has served as concert master of San Diego All County & State performing ensembles. A member of San Diego Alternative Percussion Ensemble in it's premiere years of 2005 & 2006, he marched tenors the first & joined the ranks of the front ensemble his last. Continuing his pursuits in the marching arts, Brian in 2007 - 2009 was a member of the Arizona Academy Drum & Bugle Corps front ensemble under the direction of Mark Richardson & Glen Crosby-Caption Head, and RCC winter percussion from 2008 - 2010 under the direction of Gary Locke, Sean Vega & Jim Wunderlich.
Brian has had the privilege in working with many wonderful, influential musicians & educators: Louis Campiglia, Analt Almani, Mary Gerard, Andrea Venet, Jack Mizutani, Chris Retschulte, Glen Crosby, Ralph Hardimon, Thom Hannum, Ike Jackson, Brian Dinkel, Jim Wunderlich, & Sean Vega.
Currently he is working with Murrieta Mesa HS, and is proud artist/endorser with Innovative Percussion, Inc.
