Board Position Available

Hello Booster Families,

We currently have an opening on our Music Booster Board.  Our Treasurer recently stepped down, so we need to find a replacement.  Aside from attending the monthly Booster Meetings and giving the Treasurer's Report, the Treasurer is responsible for keeping record of any income and expenses, making sure tax documents are prepared and available, and other specified duties.  It is not extremely time intensive, but it is a detail oriented position.

If you have experience, are interested, and/or would like more information, please contact Shawna Coan, Booster President.  You may reply to this email.

Thank you,

Debra Kimble
Music Booster Secretary

Musicletter, 4/16 - 4/22

Hello Booster Families,
Thank you to those that attended our Music Booster meeting last Tuesday!  We appreciate parents taking the time out of their evenings to come, listen, give input, volunteer...  and Shawna is very good at keeping the meetings under an hour! :-)    Some highlights from the meeting:
     *  We will be voting at our next meeting (5/8/18) to confirm the Board Members for the 2018 - 2019 school year
     *  Chipotle fundraiser, 4/23/18, 4:00 - 8:00pm (use your Scrip!) & Scrip event - Cold Stone, 4/26/18 after the District String Concert
     *  NEW!!  Mandatory Marching Band Parent meeting, either 4/24/18 or 4/25/18 -- 7:00pm in the Band Room                                                                                     * Shawna will coordinate the end of year party on Saturday, 6/2, but she would love some help with this!                                                                                                 * We also discussed that there was to be a major announcement being made at Murrieta Valley on the 13th that involves all the bands in the district... Have you           heard what it was?  We've been invited to be in London's New Year's Day Parade in 2020!  Hopefully you got Mr. Greenberg's email with more info about this           exciting announcement.

This week is the District Green Concert (Wind Ensemble members only), on Tuesday the 17th at 7:00pm in the Impact Center (large gym).

Coming up:  We have a fundraiser at Chipotle from 4-8:pm on Monday the 23rd (You can use Scrip for that!); Tuesday the 24th / Wednesday the 25th are the Mandatory MER Parent Meetings (pick one); and on Thursday the 26th is the District String Concert, and our next Scrip Event -- let's all go to ColdStone (off Murrieta Hot Springs, by Denny's)!

THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE at a glance:

Musicletter, 3/26 - 4/8

Hello Booster Families,
Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble for getting Superior ratings at their Festival at T.V.H.S. last Thursday!   Thanks to those that helped sort through the recyclables Friday after school.  And thank you to anyone and everyone that went to the Temecula Valley Bluegrass Festival this weekend, whether you went as a volunteer or a spectator.  Again, the proceeds from the Bluegrass Festival benefit our district music programs.  So again, thank you!  March has been busy, so enjoy the break. :-)
Hey, since the kids are on break and might be looking for something to do, this Wednesday morning from 8:00am until ???, Mr. Greenberg is looking for volunteers to help inventory and organize the uniforms (that were supposed to be returned, clean, by last Friday).  He said he will give community service hours for those that come and help. Just show up at the band room!

Looking ahead...    Our End of the Year Party is scheduled for Saturday, June 2nd.  We're practically in April already, so we need someone now who would like to take the lead in planning this event.  Shawna, our booster president, said she will help whomever volunteers, but needs someone else to head it up.  Please contact her for more information (you may reply to this email).
